A new adidas silhouette using the tech-driven 4D sole is coming: the Consortium Runner 4D V2. As the name suggests, this model sits within the Consortium umbrella, a tier reserved only for premium and/or experimental designs.
The mostly mesh upper is the base for a layered build of suede, microfibre, and embroidered details. Staggered eyelet placement and the medial loop secure the foot. The star of the show is the 4D sole, which has remain largely unchanged since its introduction in 2017. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.
The insole has a small window at the heel, revealing the internal workings of the printed sole. Pairs are releasing at Consortium retailers like Solebox on December 21.
