As expected, the colab comes in the form of Irving's signature Kyrie 5 and takes cues from 'Irving's deep fascination with ancient Egyptian culture, the mysterious construction of the pyramids, and their connection to the solar system' – just like 2018's 'Ikhet' drop. This year's design is inspired by the theory that the namesake constellation aligns perfectly with all three Pyramids of Giza, all of which are believed to have, at one point, been submerged under water along with The Great Sphinx.
The results see the Kyrie 5 clad in shades of blue while the pyramids are represented by the silhouette's overlaying shroud. Last but not least, the constellation itself shines on the starry-skied tongues.
