By now, you've undoubtedly heard of London-based designer, and Converse collaborator, Feng Chen Wang. To merely call her final finished products 'unconventional' would be a perilous understatement, as the boundaries of design are not only pushed, they're rethought.
The latest silhouette to receive her distinct 2-in-1 treatment is the historically significant Converse Pro Leather. Flipping the trend of deconstruction on its head, Wang has added elements of one Pro Leather to another completed shoe. The sole of one sneaker has been attached to the existing sole, but then split into two segments with the midfoot missing. The heel of the sneaker features a second ankle cuff that rises three-quarters of the way up and is linked together by an extra set of laces.
The pair was originally debuted in London at Converse's All-Star Series event last week, where Wang held several workshops for local creatives and designers.
Unfortunately, there's no word on whether or not this pair will see an official release but, if any news does pop up, we'll be sure to let you know.
